A Galiano Weekend.

A few of you may remember that June started off with a visit from some of my favourite London faces. A large portion of the Canadian contingent were in town for the Neeser wedding, and lucky for me, there was time for some visiting. This crew is great, and I was more than excited to see them. Catching up with these faces transports me right back to London, though it makes me sad that they aren't on this side of the pond.

The best part about this last visit is that we were able to sneak off to Paul's family's place on Galiano Island for a little overnight adventure. As you'll see from the photos, the place was beautiful, and the view was breathtaking.

We started things off with a great night out in Kits... (this is a picture-heavy post, so grab a cup of tea...or a glass of wine, depending on your time zone).

Despite a largely liquid dinner, we somehow managed to catch an early ferry over to the island.

First stop, fresh bread and groceries, and then another boat ride to get to the cabin.

Loading up the tracker for the last leg of the journey-

Check out this deck...

We spent a large part of the weekend looking for the 'J-Pod'. Don't know what that is? It's the pod of killer whales that frequents the straight (I know, good knowledge).

Cabin sports...

Stoking up the hot tub.

And giving it a stir...

A reward for all of the hard work...

Eventually it was time to head back to reality.

You can come back now, guys...

Thanks for the amazing weekend, Paul!

...and photo credit to Kat for some of the pics!

Yes, another flashback. I'm still catching up. A weekend on the Sunshine Coast, Shuswap, and Black Pine are all on the Horizon.

Buckle your seat belts ;)
